This page explains exactly which cookies LAUNDRY COLLECT places on your device when you use laundrycollect.com, what each one is for, and how to change your mind at any time.

We have kept this list short on purpose. We only set the cookies the site genuinely needs to work, and optional advertising cookies depend on your choice. Our self-hosted audience measurement runs by default, as explained below.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your browser on the next page you open. The same rules apply to similar technologies such as local storage.

Under French law (Article 82 of the *Loi Informatique et Libertés*, enforced by the CNIL) we may place strictly necessary cookies without asking you. Anything else — advertising, cross-site measurement — requires your prior consent, and refusing must be as easy as accepting.

2. Cookies we set

These three are strictly necessary. Without them the site cannot keep you signed in, cannot remember your language, and would ask about cookies on every single page.

We do not need your consent for these, but we do owe you the explanation above.

3. Audience measurement — and why it sets no cookies

We measure how the site is used with Plausible Analytics. We chose it specifically so that measuring our own traffic does not cost you any privacy:

  • it sets no cookies at all — you can verify this in your browser's developer tools;
  • it does not create a persistent identifier for you, and cannot follow you to other websites;
  • the data stays on our own server and is not shared with an advertising network;
  • what we see is aggregate: page views, referrers, countries, devices.

Audience measurement and booking-funnel analytics run by default, including when you choose “Only essentials” or leave the cookie banner unanswered. These analytics are separate from your choice about optional advertising cookies. Temporary session storage remembers navigation between steps; we record categorical interactions, availability and error signals, never the contents of your address, email or payment fields. Booking pages do not display the banner and do not change your saved cookie choice.

4. Advertising and conversion measurement — only if you accept

We advertise on Google. To learn whether an ad actually led to a booking, we may load Google Ads conversion measurement (and Google Analytics).

These are optional cookies, and they behave accordingly:

  • nothing is loaded unless you accept. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no Google tag runs and no Google cookie is written;
  • consent is asked before the tag loads, never after;
  • the measurement script deliberately carries no order identifier, tracking link or email address. It reports that a booking happened, not who made it.

If and when you accept, Google may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. We do not control those and they are not listed above.

5. Payment

When you pay, the payment step is handled by our provider Stancer, which is subject to its own policy and may set cookies necessary to process the transaction securely and to prevent fraud. We never see or store your full card number.

6. Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice about optional cookies at any time:

  • on the site — reopen the cookie banner and choose again;
  • in your browser — delete the cookies for this site, which also clears the website_cookies_bar record of your choice, so you will be asked again on your next visit;
  • globally — most browsers let you block cookies entirely. Note that blocking session_id will stop the booking flow from working.

Withdrawing consent stops future consent-dependent collection. It does not disable the Plausible audience measurement described above. It does not retroactively erase measurement already recorded — for that, see our data deletion page.
